Guidelines
Manuscript Preparation
- File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Text Formatting: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spacing throughout the manuscript. Ensure that the title, author names, and affiliations are clearly presented on the title page.
- Sections: Manuscripts should follow a structured format, including sections for the Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
- Title Page: The title page must include the full title, names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and contact details for the corresponding author.
Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract: Provide a concise, structured abstract of no more than 250 words. The abstract should summarize the objective, methodology, results, and conclusion of the study.
- Keywords: Include 4-6 relevant keywords to enhance the discoverability of the manuscript in databases and search engines.
Figures and Tables
- Figures: High-resolution figures (JPEG or TIFF) should be submitted separately from the manuscript file. Each figure must be numbered and have a corresponding legend.
- Tables: Tables should be included at the end of the manuscript or as separate files. Ensure tables are well-labeled and provide all necessary data to understand the results.
References
- Authors should adhere to the Vancouver citation style. Ensure that all references cited in the text are listed in the bibliography and vice versa. For web-based citations, include the full URL and access date.
- Example: Smith J, Doe A. Advances in neural engineering. BioEng Med. 2020;30(4):345-52.
Ethical Considerations
- Patient Consent: For any research involving patient data, authors must provide documentation that informed consent has been obtained from patients or their legal representatives.
- Ethical Approval: All experimental research must have approval from an ethics review board or institutional review committee.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that could influence the study's outcomes or interpretation.
Plagiarism and Originality
- Original Work: Manuscripts must present original research that has not been published elsewhere. Authors should properly cite all sources and avoid reusing their previously published work (self-plagiarism).
- Plagiarism Check: The journal employs plagiarism detection tools to ensure the integrity of submissions.
Peer Review and Revisions
- Submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and quality. Authors will receive constructive feedback and may be asked to make revisions before final acceptance.
- Resubmission: If revisions are requested, authors should provide a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments.
Open Access and Article Processing Charges (APC)
- The journal operates on an open-access model, providing unrestricted access to its content. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is required to cover editorial and production costs. APC waivers may be available for authors with limited financial resources.
Submission Process
- All manuscripts should be submitted via the journal's online submission portal. Authors will be able to track the progress of their submission through the review and publication stages.
Post-Acceptance
- After acceptance, manuscripts will be copyedited and formatted. Authors will receive proofs for final approval before publication. The journal encourages authors to promote their published work through academic networks and social media.
